I bathe my 3 kids every day. My husband doesn't think it's necessary, I on the other hand do. We only do hair every other day. Curious to see how other parents on here do bath-time.

Thanks!

I used to bathe my son every day, it was part of our bedtime routine, but at 2 years old he stopped enjoying the baths, so we cut them down to every 2 to 3 days. If he gets really dirty or we or we go swimming, then we bathe no matter what.

To tell you the truth, there are days when I can't take a shower and it hasn't affected my health or offended the noses around me yet. haha. It's no big deal, do whatever works for your family.

I bath my son everyday! He's a routine kid and asks for it every night only because he likes to play and swim in the bath!

plus...the outdoors and school are dirty!

We were told bathing them every day is not particularly good for their skin especially during the winter months. So we bathe them every second day.

We bathe our 3 kids 4 times a week (Tues, Thurs, Sun nights and Sat. mornings after swimming lessons). We were told by our pediatrician that it is too drying for the skin in the winter to give them baths everyday. We give them baths everyday in the summer though, as they play outside so often.

I let my kids bathe themselves when they want, pretty sure they'd be real upset with me if I tried to do it for them, after all the youngest is turning 21 in December

My 8 year old showers every other day. My 4 year old thinks it's his right to shower with me ever morning, Lord help me if I try to sneak in without him :)

I just had to clean some tea off my screen

My three bathe everyday in summer...the muck magnet months.
Every other day normally.

Having said that the last few water bills were pretty ridiculous so I have switched to showers to see if that would help save.

My boys love "shower baths" where we let them have a shower but put the drain stopper in. Once their shower is over they can play in the water.

My daughter enjoys bathing every night, it's our bedtime routine, but soap can dry the skin! So every second bath is for play time only, no soap needed. Just bath crayons, books and dollies. :D :D :D

We have a summer and winter routine:

Summer = bath every night

Winter = bath every other night due to eczema that flares up in the colder months. However, if they go to a play place in the winter, they get a bath that night even if it's on an "off" night ;)

Post subject:  Bathtime

Hi,
I bath my son 3x a week. He has suffered from eczema since he was a newborn so when I do bath him, I add organic sunflower seed oil to the water which helps keep the skin moisturized. Our doctor, naturopath, dermatlogist all recommend reducing bath time as it dries out their skin.[/img]
