This is that time of year when the most B&E's occure. They watch the neighbourhood, driving around day and night to see what time people go to bed and what time they get up in the morning for work/school. It's Christmas time so now people have parties, visiting families, vacations. We all need to be careful and lock our doors and turn on our alarms. Leave your valuables in a safe. Also I see alot of people leave they're blinds open at night and with your lights on inside, if your walking and even driving down the street its kind of easy to take a quick glance inside and see what you got. Maybe closing your blinds might be a safe thing to do as well. Thats my opinion.

Obvisouly the best thing to do is if you see something suspicious report it.

I may be wrong, but reporting this to the cops seems like superactive paranoia.

Drove in and out of streets and stopped in front of houses. Man didn't get out of car, just drove around stopping here and there, worked his way on dymott to Scott blvd.

How would he be delivering newspapers if he wasn't getting out of a car?

They toss them out the window on to the driveway.

While its great to report suspicious activities like you did to the none emergency police line, this does look like a routine paper delivery run. The 1st time I saw one working late at home I was a bit suspicious as well, then I realized he had someone in the back tossing the newspaper. About 4am b

He was pretty efficient, just cruising slowly and the paper landed dead on the porch of the neighbour in front when he drove by my house.

He may have been running late and that is why you noticed him at 5am. On the other hand, if he was up to no good, at least you've helped build a profile.
Cheers!

I had two dudes knocking on my door Thursday afternoon looking like a couple sales men or perhaps Jehovah's, either way I did not answer. Anyways, I looked out my front window as they were leaving and saw that they onlywent t o houses with cars in the driveway and actually stopped and looked in the cars on their way up to the front doors....nosey or scoping out for an evening return. I guess we had better all be aware and make sure we lock it up!

I saw two very suspicious vehicles as well. Two white cars with a blue emblem on the side. They were parked, oppositely along side each other, with both drivers talking to each other through the open window. They were parked in the back corner of the old GM dealership at Derry & Ontario with both cars running, for a really long time.
