If you are Irish or want to be Irish for a day, the Destination Campbellville Community Association and Finnegans Irish Pub are hosting the second annual St. Patricks Day parade next Saturday March 16th starting at 1.30 pm on Reid Sideroad just west of the Guelph Line/#401 interchange heading south on Crawford Cr. and Main St. (Guelph Line) ending at the Campbellville Lions Hall.

Plenty of fun, floats, bands and dancers, see the photos attached from last year's parade!

Check out the DCCA website for more information on Campbellville and local events and attractions.

For further information and entry submission call Marcus Whitting the DCCA president at 416-571-1390 or Colin Best 905-878-3623.

Ah Colin you don't need to add the O'. Witness at my Great Grandfathers Wedding in Lurgan Co Armagh (1879) was one Samuel Best!

Don't forget that day is also the day of the Empty Bowls fundraiser - I am sure they will have some potato soup among others:-)

Ah yes, the Armagh Best's.

Thanks Martin, most of my family are from counties Cork, Antrim and Dorset (England but don't hold that against me). Will be at the empty bowls dinner later.

Just having some fun with the day. Hopefully it will be warm and sunny like last year.

Thanks for the reminder.

Do we need to bring anything or will the parade be collecting any sort of community donations, toys, food, cash?

Hi justagirl.

Thanks for the thought, but no you do not have to bring anything to the parade which is sponsored by Finnegans Irish Pub and the DCCA. Just dress warm, enjoy the parade and downtown Campbellville!

Parade takes about 20-30 minutes to pass any point. Plenty of parking off Crawford Cr. along Main St. N. (Guelph line) and Campbell Avenue east and west of Main St.
