Hi Everyone, Good morning. The Louis St. Laurent watermain pipeline supplies water to the area roughly bounded by; Tremaine Road to the west Highway 25 to the east, Derry Road to the north and Louis St. Laurent to the south. This pipeline has been under construction since 2011, and is now complete. Please see below a link to the Louis St. Laurent watermain installation project: http://www.halton.ca/cms/One.aspx?porta ... geId=45641 Although water delivered to this area is from Lake Ontario, until the Louis St. Laurent watermain was finished, water was delivered from a pipeline north of Louis St. Laurent. Now that the Louis St. Laurent watermain is completed, Halton region will change the water route of delivery into the area, to use a pipeline system from the south of the area, this will take a few months to complete, starting near the end of this month. During this transfer of the water route, most residents in the area will not notice any difference. However, a few residenst may experience a small amount of air in their pipes when they turn on their water. As well, a few residents may notice slightly more bubbles in their water until the route transfer is completed (a few months). Please do not be concerned about or during the change over, as the water quality will not change or be affected. Moreover, this addition to the available delivery routes of water into the area, will increase the overall security of water supply (by having more than one option). Halton Region will be delivering an information notice to residents in areas that may experience increased air in their pipes during this change over, as well information on the project will be posted on the region's website. I will keep everyone updated here. Have a great weekend everybody, (and have a great March Break)! Best Regards, Tony Tony Lambert Town & Regional Councillor Wards 1,6,7 and 8 http://www.tony-lambert.ca |

Very impressive! It took RichardTNC 6 minutes to find and post the illustrations for Tony's public service announcement. Meanwhile, Tony is still editing the OP and I am still laughing. |

I am critical when you post things with half the answers Tony, but this is a good post - all the info is there, links for more information, and dates and details. Thanks! |
