I have a few questions.. hoping you guy can help me out:

- How often do you reseal the caulking in your shower? what is a good brand you would recommend
- in the attached picture, around the glass its a clear layer of silicone, but when its around the metal part it seems like it's more of a tape then actual silicone used? Is there something else I should use, or is this just a really thin layer they used?
- I can't get to this until the weekend, would it still be fine to use the shower, since its a pretty tight gap I don't think water will run under there.....

If it's peeling off, the surface wasn't cleaned well before application, or, it's old - time to reseal.

My advice regarding sealant:

100% silicone, none of that acrylic crap.

* Remove /scrape off the old - you may want to use very fine sand paper to prep the surface (but be careful around the glass; highly recommend using masking tape on the surfaces where you will not be sealing).
* Clean it well (i.e. alcohol).
* Let it dry for an hour, mask it with tape if you haven't done much sealing, than finally apply your new bead.

Granted, I'm not a pro but this works for me.

It's OK to use for now. A few drips leaking through onto the threshold won't be an issue.
