Just curious if anyone living in phase 14a/b from 2006/2007 (Southwest Derry and Thompson area) knows what brand of pex plumbing was used by Mattamy. Because of the lawsuits of some pex plumbing, my insurance company needs to know what brand it is before they can offer coverage. If you know, please let me know. Thanks! |

Just go down to your water heater and have a look. There is going to be many feet of exposed pipe and it will be labeled with the manufacturer. Hope it isn't one of the bad brands as changing the pex in a house would be a nightmare worthy of burning the place down and starting over. Good luck |

Was it TD insurance? That seems to be their obsession lately. |

HAHA, yup! Strangest question I ever heard. Any ways, from what I can research I believe it to be Bow Superpex, which is covered. I'm assuming everyone's home insurance is going up by like 40%? |

I've got 3 cars, 2 drivers (one is a convertible sports car) and the house, all insured for $275 a month - No ones been able to come close to TD Meloche Monnex's rates. There is a difference between TD Home and Auto and TD Meloche Monnex. |

I asked my dad cause he knows all. This lawsuit affects Kitec, PlumbBetter, IPEX AQUA, WarmRite, Kitec XPA, AmbioComfort, XPA, KERR Controls, Plomberie Améliorée. Mattamy uses FLOWGUARD. |

Is Mattamy still using these in new builds, or did they move back to copper? Seems like something destin to fail at some point in time. |

All insurance providers cover a different market, not unlike the mafia lol It prevents competition and allows legalized price fixing like gas stations which everyone seems to be OK with (if anyone can remember back 20 years when they swore up and down that prices are not a result of price fixing, today they report on the news |

Also auto damages, they'll make you drive your vehicle damaged in some cases so that they don't have to pay for a rental until the work starts.. |

Can anybody help? I need new home and auto insurance. I called TD Meloche Monnex to update my new mattamy home. They are saying I can't get home insurance from them due to plumbing material which is PEX. They are saying they changed their policy 3 month ago due to lots of problems with this material. Are you guys recommending any new insurance company? |
