I'm potentially buying a new Kia soon, and was wondering if anyone had any experiences to share at either Meadowvale or Milton Kia. Meadowvale would be closest to where I may be taking a job soon (car purchase dependent on new job), so easier for having service appointments while I'm at work. I've already spoken to a sales associate at each location. Thanks for any comments! |

Hot tip: you don't need to have your car serviced at the dealership - they are now better than a decent independent shop. Since you're buying a Kia you'll probably appreciate this money-saving tip. |

They seem to be doing better than you think. In 2014 they came in seventh with a 106. |

That's a really out of date viewpoint, they are good cars now, various independent testing has demonstrated this. My Dad has a Sorento with 105,000 k on it and the only thing that has gone wrong is the backup camera failed recently. |

Milton Kia feels small when you walk in, but they are backed by the the larger dealership there as well. The sales guys are ok, just make sure you have an idea what you want before you go and that will help things go smoothly. And research the different payment options as well. I did not end up with the best deal financially when I went... I can blame Kia all I want but hindsight is 2020 The service is good, but small time. You will find yourself needing to book a week sometimes two in advance for a simple oil change, again not a big deal if you are someone organized. If you know what you want, I would suggest Milton Kia |

Anderson Kia in Woodstock is consisently excellent for customer experience, bit they are too far from us. Check out Lockwood Kia in Oakville as well, but if you know what you want, buy from the place thay served you the best (ie did a needs assessment with you, didn't pressure you, let you test drive the car). |

We have dealt with JC at Milton Kia, and Victor the manager. Good people that we purchased 2 Sorento from. Probably going to buy a new sorento and possibly new optima soon. Quality has been very good. Kia is a highly rated company now, and Sorento are very highly rated! Personal experience has also been very good - although small sample size obviously. Service has been very good overall, although they are very busy. They are expanding their service bays in near future so offer faster and more service. |

Not sure the dollars you want to spend but have you checked out the 2016 Ford Escape 2 litre turbo (Titanium). I bought one and am impressed all to hell. 2017 out soon with grill change and a new twin scroll turbo 2 litre. |

Yeah I'm looking at the 2017 Sportage and for the comparable model (Titanium is out of my budget) I didn't find the Escape to measure up on the features for the price, and the interior on the lower trim models is a bit dated. The mid level trim on the Sportage (EX AWD, $29,795) includes everything I want; Android Auto, proximity/smart key, 7" screen w/ backup camera, AWD Lock, heated seats, 18" alloys, etc. I definitely could be interested in the 2017 Escape depending on pricing but I may not be in a position to wait for it to come out. |

Go in ready to buy, do all your research what package / trim etc. Go to the dealer, ask for best price on specific model. Say thank you, go to second dealership, ask if they can beat he price. Buy the car, don't let them sell it to you. With modern cars, you'll rarely go to the dealership. As to the quality of KIA and Hyundai, they are excellent. On par with Toyota and Honda. I've driven both the optima and sonata, great on fuel, very quick and the fit and finish is better than most. Global news used the Santa Fe as news vehicles, the got over 300k on all of them with no engine or tranny failures. They still have a spare with 400k on it. |

One of the features on the Escape that sold me were the power seats. We looked at a lot of SUV's in this segment but the Escape was the only one that offered, as an option or in a package, 10 way power seats for driver & passenger plus the drivers seat has 3 position memory and the side mirrors follow the seat memory. 40k out the door and that's with 5k off. |

That's fair, I'll be the only one driving it generally so I really don't care about memory seat and mirrors, but I can definitely see the value in that if you have two regular drivers. |
