Who the hell reads those door hanger things? Unless of course its Tony Lambert’s.

A free pumpkin giveaway would be a greater public benefit. Now that's genuine charity!

For sure! Actual tangible benefits are better than imaginary advertising dollars 8 days a week!!

Curious if one gets a tax receipt for putting a charity logo on something you're doing anyway?

With all this talk about dirty pool and weaseldom in candidate nominations lately, I went searching for news content about the circumstances of Rizvee's Federal Liberal nomination in 2015. Nothing (yet), but hey! I did find this from Feb. 23, 2018:

Quote:
Milton woman recoups legal fees after judge dismisses defamation lawsuit

https://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2018/0 ... wsuit.html

Good for her!

But not surprisingly:
Quote:
Note - April 6, 2018: This material is subject to legal complaint by Azim Rizvee and Rabiya Azim.

Good for her indeed! It seems to happen too much these days where people are scared into silence by the threat of being sued. I'm especially happy that he has to pay her legal fees.

Am I reading that correctly? He's now suing her again for $1.5M for malicious prosecution?

There were two parallel lawsuits, for slightly different contrived slights. Since he had a greasy lawyer on the phone he ordered two I guess, just for kicks.

Once the courts deal with that one likewise, I hope she gets her turn to do the same, she has a much stronger case for it!
