I know, it's awesome! Honestly it's good news. The longer they take, the more control over the market the Canadian growers will have.

This could really be the one big thing Canada gets "known" for. Germany has their fine beer, France the savoury foods. Italy has their wines. And Canada, the reefer.

How is this even remotely close to being the "new real estate?" ........ I'll update you on Friday so we can really let the FOMO kick in...

See you answered your own question. Good job!

Hmm, you'd better not invest in anything, ever then. Except index funds, I guess. I do love me some boring old index funds.

How's that FOMO report coming?

I dunno. We're doing alright. Again, it's not money I care about losing.

My retirement fund, split between TFSA and RRSPs, is entirely index funds. Hence "I do love me some boring old index funds." What do you do? Couch-potato strategy, or something different?

My pool fund, however, is riding the green wave:

These folks are looking for jib-cuts like this, so this had better be bullshit.

Good for you! Seriously!

You started this so let's keep this about your bees wax, nnkay? I'm not a quarterly tweaker by any means, but no longer a compliant couch 'tater either. Suffice to say the events of 2008 will continue to serve me as a lesson.

Also, I like all the little + signs in front of all those numbers, very pretty!

Bullshit?? MEEE?!!!! Dude I'm talkin like 5 grand here. It's honestly just a shot in the dark for fun. But not entirely dark, as I've done some really half-assed research.

Nobody has a clue what is gonna happen with this stuff. I plan on just holding for 5 years and checking out then. Whatever happens, happens.

2008 taught us to have a significant liquid reserve to take advantage of the next shitshow.

Another big week for those weed shares! Truduea taxing the product at a lesser rate then what the market expected gave a nice bump!

It’s crazy. Portfolio now up 32.13% since June. Wish I put more in...

Just wait until the banks get involved.

I just did. I don't see it going down anytime soon. I am not as diversified as you (holding 4), but I have covered my bets with the HMMJ stock.

Have you looked at what HMMJ is? Large portion is Scott’s miracle grow.

I would expect other ETFs to pop up soon though, given today’s announcement regarding the partnership between Canada’s major LPs. I want something that tracks the top 20 in the production sector. That’d be ideal.

We’re investing in what could become the next most valuable commodity in the world. Exciting times!!

Yeah, Scotts makes sense as they are now going to be a big supplier to that industry, so it will stand to benefit once legalization and full scale production begins. Not going to move much now, but I see it as an opportunity buy at the moment as its low and will gain in time.

I agree, to me this is one of those once in a lifetime opportunities to get in on the ground floor. Funny note.... I had the opportunity to buy into Amazon stock (was choosing between a few other investments at the time) at the ground floor. Decided it was too risky an investment and went with something else that I lost everything on. I am hoping this is my new amazon.

As if we’d invest in some mickey-mouse outdoor growers...

Still up 32%!

This is just nuts right now. I'm tempted to put even more in. We are seeing all this appreciation and the market isn't even open to the public!
