Took kids here for lunch. DD is on picky side, but loved the perogies. DS and I had the strawberry perogies after other perogies, and loved them. Busy place today, which is good. Hoping that this place stays around for years to come.

DD? DS? DH? WTF?

(Why you would need a designated driver to go here or a Nintendo game is lost on me)

Since we’re on the subject, the word Perogy is a ridiculous word for a Perogy.
Hell, they don’t look like Perogies at all in my mind. Maybe in baby talk, but grownups should not have to call them that. It’s just infuriating.

?
What does a Perogy look like?

Interesting you also have another spelling since neither of the ones used in this thread so far appear to be accurate either
Pierogi/Pierogis vs Perogie/Perogies

Pierogy sounds like an expensive casual shoe, champagne, toddlers line of clothing or the hoop you tie your boat too on the dock.
As the ugly word "pierogies" competes visually with awesome names like dumplings, marshmallows, timbits and meatballs, it's time for a remarketing of Pierogies. They are the Eugene and/or Arnold of the bite sized food industry.

Alternative names: Pirogi, pirohy, pyrohy, varenyky.
Confusing use of pirogi for some minorities here.
In Russia (population bigger than in Poland, Ukraine and Canada all together) pirogi means food similar to the pie.

I not sure if MP is going to lasts here. Different demography. Went only once and ordered ... poutine pirogi.
Milton is shawarma town now. I went for Halifax Donair for first time on previous week. "I'll be back".

Yeah, like how many fricken shawarma places does this town need? Personally I think it would be nice to have more European and other ethnic eateries to choose from besides shawarma joints. I hope Mama Perogies are successful and remain open because their food is good and they're a nice addition to this otherwise boring and lifeless town.

Some friends who visited from out of town remarked that they've never seen a place with so many Tim Horton's, fast food joints and shawarma signs on every corner. They weren't at all impressed.

They must be from Montreal then. Very different city from the rest of the rest. Even CIBC bank machine is rare where.
