The best deal around is Carrytel, period.

How does carrytel compare to Start.ca? I am using it and have no complaints, but carrytel does seem to have good price. $25 cheaper for the 120/10 package. How is the service? Any downtimes?

Its just me that I do not sign up anything or buy anything that is cheapest. Some middle ground has worked in the past and will stick to that.

I am off the same opinion. But $25 is a big difference so tempted :) Start on the other hand has been great. I have been very satisfied with their service.

I've been with Carrytel for over a year now, not a single service interruption. I am also on the 120/10 plan and I bought the TP-LINK TC7610 modem. Before I switched, I was with start.ca for over 5 years. I wanted to stay with them but they wouldn't match the price.

If you do switch, you can get $10 off the price of the modem by using my Promo Code below and I get $20 off my next bill by referring you. Or don't, its up to you. :-)

Your promotion code: RO32271
Your benefit:You will get $20.00 cash credit after referring a friend. No limit on how much you can earn.
Your friend benefit:Your friend get $10 one time promotion (This Promotion code can only apply to Cable 40,60,75,120 and 150 Plan)

I was looking at their service. Intrigued by it - but wary about the service levels, both customer service and quality of internet.

Are you consistently at 120 mpbs download?

This is my dilemma - I've done the whole "grass is greener" thing and it's not always greener...

I guess I could try them out for the 7 day guarantee they have...

I have only ever had to call them once, which was when I had the new modem plugged in and was ready to start the service. I had a real person on the phone who spoke perfect English in less than a minute. Reliable service at the best possible price is more important to me than customer service, if it never goes down (which it hasn't) I never have to call in, so I don't care. Note, there is a difference between customer service and technical support. Technical support is very important, however I've never needed them, yet.
