According to a May 25 1966 Milton Canadian Champion Page 3 article
Miss Marie Henry was a self taught artist who'd begun painting two years earlier.
She had 14 Winter and Summer scene paintings in soft pastel
at Harris Stationary

"Peat Cutters Cabin and Windmill" is one my late father
commissioned her to paint of my mothers child hood home
Probably done around 1968 to 1972

Ah well the Marie Henry that is still around

Peat Cutters Cabin and Windmill

Marie Henry wouldn't have known it when she painted it
but a urban family legend says my moms dad used to hide refugees from the Holocaust for a few
days in a chicken coop safehouse.

Since the only other house gramps could have hidden Jewish refugee children in
was located deep in the heart of the busy nearby village its likely
the chicken coop safehouse was parked somewhere behind that peat cutters cabin.
