Age, Sex, Marital Status, education, and city are all taken into account.
Let’s add ethnicity into the mix as well. That would be a very helpful metric in determining risk

Person A as primary, Person B as secondary gets one rate
Now call back and get a second quote with Person B as primary and Person A as secondary

I fail to see how different University degree levels equates to better driving but there you have it
Using 2 identical people gets huge savings based on whose name is listed first on the policy


I am sure this discrimination also extends to college / high school if anyone else wants to test it

I have been driving for 50+ yrs and have never been asked about my education level.

Shawnrk1 is right. Call them and tell them you are McMaster alumni and see if your rate changes.

Almost half if you are enrolled to the PEO as EIT or P.Eng.
