Hi everyone
Im moving end of April to the new mattamy phase Bronte /25
Sixteen Mile creek my son attends jean vanier. I’m thinking construction will still be crazy and unsafe for school kids walking. How would I find out if he would get bussed? It’s a good 15-20min walk Im thinking. I know when we moved into the current area they provided buses to the kids until the school was built and construction cleared. Any other families with kids moving into this area attending JV?

Try here;

I remember someone saying a need for sidewalks to the school before they expect students to walk but not sure if that's just urban myth.

general rule of thumb is 2km from house to school if they qualify for bussing.

To qualify for buses the distances are as follows:

Elementary school (JK-8) is 1.6km
High School is 3.2km
