If you have a modern home then it has a poured concrete foundation with a "Brush Coat". Parging on the other hand is usually a 1/4 inch thick cement cover that is only required to cover concrete block foundations.
Much less skill and time is required to do a brush coat but a complete parging of a foundation would take much more time, takes skill, and will cost much more.
Both will require some prep time in order to do a good job.
Thanks. It is a poured concrete foundation so I guess I would need what remains of the old stuff ground off and a new brush coat applied. Anyone know who does a decent job for a fair price?
