https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/69/wr/ ... 36a5-H.pdfFindings from a case-control investigation of symptomatic outpatients from 11 U.S. health care facilities found that close contact with persons with known COVID-19 or going to locations that offer on-site eating and drinking options were associated with COVID-19 positivity. Adults with positive SARS-CoV-2 test results were approximately twice as likely to have reported dining at a restaurant than were those with negative SARS-CoV-2 test results
Numbers are pretty clear
In control group 74.2% of those without virus wore masks ALWAYS
In infected group 70.6% of those with virus wore masks ALWAYS
14.4% of those with virus wore masks OFTEN
7.2% wore masks SOMETIMES
3.9% wore masks RARELY
3.9% wore masks NEVER
Masks are not doing a whole heck of a lot now are they. But the 6 foot rule seems quite a joke for indoor dining.
As well those who outright refused to wear masks NEVER have no significant increase in infections whatsoever. In any category from family to dining.
Vast majority of cases come from FAMILY or FRIENDS of course since its so rare to have COMMUNITY transmission (9.2%)
Majority of people had no idea they had come in contact with someone who had Covid
