Both the Vaughan & Markham Costcos received $880 fines for breaking Covid laws

Just think about this logically for a second
Peel + Toronto implement a lockdown
Shoppers flock to surrounding areas (Halton*, York, & Durham)
Two giant box stores let all the shoppers in ignoring the law

And penalty is $880

When you let an extra hundred people in and they are paying you lets say an average of $200 per person as they all stockpile supplies for the lockdown

It is insanity
Nothing else can describe the foolishness of this





*even the MILTON MALL was packed today! I could not believe my eyes. Not just surrounding stores but the actual mall itself, there were even line ups in FOOD COURT!!! It has to be out-of-towners who just see the word "mall" on their gps right?

You can't expect them to go all guns blazing with the first fines plus they've raised the fines quite substantially. I think they're talking about possibly giving Douchie McBBQ a $10 million fine if he keeps trying to open. It'll take a lot of ribs to pay that off but then again stupidity is rarely cheap.
