What colour paint do they have on the walls in these pictures? It is nice.

Just an FYI about builder's paint. Its pretty crap. Gets scratched easily and marked just by brushing up against it. I recommend painting your house yourself after you move in.

Cynthia,

We haven't got a call yet for our brick but we are anxiously waiting for it! I am surprised that you got a call before us considering that you are across the street and I thought our choices would impact each other....unless we are picking from different colours? Hmmm makes me want to call the sales office again and see when we will be going in for our brick selection:)
see you all on Saturday!
Diana

Are there any photo's of upstairs? I would love to see the bathrooms and the loft. :D

Soon for my WR.. its all drywalled and they put the first coat on.

We are now LESS than a month away, how scary is it that we haven't packed one thing. Ruh roh.

Also -- I think it looks like Portabello paint in the pictures. Its the same one we chose and its more grey looking than the other options. In another thread someone mentioned its been discontinued (which is wack, because it was by far the most popular choice), but a few more options have been raised.

I really don't it matters when you pick your brick colour. I think it will only matter when they set the brick colour, then I think they will go in order of purchase.

I wouldn't worry about the brick colours. Depending on your elevation, will depend which packages you have to choose from. So others around you might not affect your selection.

Okay, we only FINALLY made it to the design centre last weekend - with kids and a baby it's tough to get there! And we were totally overwhelmed and didn't even know where to start.
So I'm thinking, A&A, since you have a Juneberry, can you please just give us all of your selections and I'm just going to go with those! I can't handle all of these decisions! We haven't even figured out what we are going with and what we are doing after market let alone to start picking colours, etc.
We have our design centre appt. on March 26th....I think we are in BIG trouble.
Anyone have good pictures of kitchens and bathrooms you've found to help get some ideas?

Start with this thread: Kitchen Photos.

It really depends on your style. My last house I went with light hardwood, but this time around we are going darker because its hides the scratches better, when the floor gets dirty. If you go to the design center the reps there will help you with your choices.

I just sent an email regarding dinner on Saturday.
Evite seems to be acting up and when I go to log in, my computer gives me some big high risk threat warnings.
So, I sent the email to everyone, even if you said you can't come as I didn't have the list.
If you are moving to Coombs and did NOT receive an email from me, please send me a PM. I am still trying to confirm that I have everyone's email address on my Coombs list.
Looking forward to Saturday!

We chose the exterior colours today. We only had 5 choices from the CS package and 4 of them were red(ish) and one yellow that we didn't like at all. We were expecting at least 1 grey brick. We ended up choosing package CS-12, a light red brick with grey siding and dark roof.
We would have preferred a grey brick but I think the light red one is nice too.

That's funny, I didn't realize that! I'm definitely happy with the colours now :) I'm safe too, as my wife actually picked them :)

Question to Wild Rose owners:
- Does anybody know if stairs on the upper floor ( landing area) are included into the stain price of the whole staircase $982 or Mattamy will charge extra for them.
- Anybody plan to take a hardwood option upstairs Upper Hall+ loft? I'm wondering if it includes a landing area or it's also extra.
We'll have a structural appointment soon so lots to consider.

WE WERE TOLD, IF YOU WANT YOUR 2 1-STAIRS BETWEEN LANDING AND LOFT AND LANDING AND UPPER HALL YOU NEED TO HARDWOOD THE LANDING (WE'VE FOUND IN OTHER HOUSES THIS IS NOT THE CASE, BUT DID IT ANYWAYS).
HARDWOOD FLOORING - GROUP 4 (SUNKEN LANDING) HW/DETAL0004 Colour 1 $998.00

That was to ensure the landing at the top of the floor was hardwood as were the 1 steps to the other areas as well as hardwooded linen closet (oh yay)

We'll have a structural appointment soon so lots to consider.
