PRICELESS, #1!
How old is your little girl? Is she ill in this picture? She appears a bit flushed.

What were the timing of your closing? We bought in May on Wettlaufer. Our brick selection was end of June (the Sales Centre calls you for this), our first meeting re upgrades (structural) in August, and our colour selection in September (all with a March 2010 closing).

Structure was things such as # of windows you wanted to open, electrical outlets, architects options, flat ceilings etc., add'n sink in master bath

Colour was tile selection, carpet selection, selecting which kitchen package and cabinet style (not just colour, but also between regular, sous, master etc).

I'm probably gonna be joining or making a slo pitch softball team for the year 2011 if anyone is interested. Mountain biking sounds good. My cousin is already planning mountain biking outings.

not sure about the 43' & 50' lots .... our selection was minimal. no window selections, electrical, sinks etc. unless that's part of our design selection in 6months? the structural options were ones that could not be changed once the house was built, unless you wanted to pay a pretty penny for it!

Hello Coombes Cr neighbours!

Diana & Alex here! We finally made it online...sorry it took so long but we have been busy visiting the site, checking out houses, snooping in windows, and picking our new house!

So as most of you know, we were not able to get the Red Cedar Elevation B.....so we went with Elevation C, but after touring a Primrose, we decided that the Primrose was the right house for us. So Primrose Elevation C it is. Maybe everything happens for a reason and RC Elev B may not have been the house for us. But we are so happy with our choice! We pulled a "Diana" tonight and knocked on some doors and were able to get in and see a Primrose up close and personal. I think we have visited and been inside all the Red Cedars and Primroses in the area

We have enjoyed reading all the posts especially the ones with plans for Dean's lot. I would like to add a tennis court with a winter bubble to the list. Hopefully we have some tennis fans out there! Alex says he is ready to smoke some stogies after the bike rides and street hockey games.

Looking forward to seeing everyone on the site!

Have a good night!
Diana & Alex (aka Dilex)

ps. we have our app with Michael on Wednesday!

Hi Amabelle and other posters.

Wow, looks like the Coombs Crt. community really took off.
Welcome to the neighbourhood.

Just a slight correction to the inground swimming pool question earlier. The Town has no restriction on when a pool can be built, just that before a subdivision is assumed by the Town the builder has to give a letter to the Town confirming they are aware of the new pool.

Since some subdivisions take up to five years to be assumed this might be where the information came from.

For more information check www.milton.ca for information especially the section on the homepage titled New Resident Information and Before you Buy which clarifies a number of questions. These brochures are also available at any new home sales office. You can also call 311 for any government related question.

If you are interested in installing a pool or other changes that would affect the grading or drainage please contact Stephanie Flynn the property Information officer in the Building Division at 905-878-7252 x 2323 or email her at stephanie.flynn@milton.ca.

Thanks, Colin, for clearing that up.

Welcome Diana & Alex (about time you showed up). I'm so glad that you were able to decide on a house that you liked in the end! Sounds like you were able to work everything out.

You guys are so funny with knocking on doors. I don't think I have the nerve for that. Want to come with us and knock on some Juneberry doors for us?

#1, I think we'll have to introduce your boxer to our 200lb Bull Mastiff. I'm sure they will be good friends ;)

So are the structurals just the ones on the white sheet with all the different houses listed and their specific upgrades.

Oh yeah. Another question. On my list of upgrades, it has the smooth ceilings but it only says for ground floor. Does this mean that you can't get smooth ceilings upstairs?

I don't think you can get the smooth ceilings on the upper floor. Personally, I think its only need on the main floor. Right now I'm leaning towards 8' 2nd flr ceilings...

Morning everyone!

So we were at the sales office last night (just can't stay away from that place)...ran into Sal & Christine and also met a young couple who was purchasing one of the last remaining 43's. Told them to get on this site to meet their future neighbours.

Kevin: We're up for tennis anytime. For the past several years we've been playing in a house league at the Milton Tennis Club, which is at Derry & Commercial (just west of Ontario). But playing at Dean's sounds like a more affordable option :)

All: I called the Intracorp office to see when they will be building the houses behind us. Have not heard back yet, will let you know when I do. Their website is www.foothillsmilton.com. I looked at their other Toronto projects and they look real nice which is reassuring.

With regards to our home, the only structural changes we made was to change the kitchen layout and add the 3-piece rough in the basement. From a design standpoint, right now are leaning towards smooth ceilings, hardwood stairs, carpet underpad upstairs. Granite we'd probably do through someone else. Hardwood in office, DR and GR is still up in the air, as to whether we do it when we move in or later. Once we have the design centre app., I am sure there will be many more things to add!

Have a great day everyone! Back to work for me....Diana
