2) Anyone doing the central vac throught Mattamy? Not sure if the $1500 is a good price or if we are better off doing on our own later.

we bought top of the line Beam central vac with accessories for $1000 tax in. One of the roughed-in pipes was in garage, other 4 were in the basement, I had to connect them together and cut the hole from basement to garage to connect to the unit (in garage). Total cost for materials to connect rough-ins is around $200, takes full day of work.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, #1. Oliver is heading out there now to take a look.
The kids are sleeping so one of us has to stay home.

We were in the area and checked it. Very nice house.

When did you go, #1? Oliver went there around 2:30pm but no one was at the house. It apparently was a "closed house".

We went at 2:30pm as well, no answer. We went to look at the open Sunflower, Red Cedar and Primrose on Jelinik. Then at 3:15pm someone was there.

Furthermore, on appliances. Sears offers 24 month equal payments and they will price match. Or you can go with the deferred payment option. We purchased through Sears for our last house and had no issues.

We went today at 2:00 but there was no answer as well. I called the guys cell phone. He forgot to move his clocks forward so he drove out and opened it up. We ended up seeing the house at around 3:00. It was nice for us to see the room sizes and stuff.

Hi Diana,

We are lot 11 and had our exterior appt this past weekend. We too picked package SS-5 without getting to see it. They sent us all over to houses that had everything but the stucco done. If you happen to see one done can you let me know and I will do the same. I can't wait to see it but am a little nervous since I have no clue what it will look like.

Thanks!

I too, chose the SS5 exterior package. Lot 9 on Gooch is SS5. The whole front of the house is covered in plastic and they have started to do the stucco. Should be able to see what it looks like by the end of next week.....can't wait!

Hi there,

Lot 111 on Symons Crossing has this exterior finish.
(Phase 14C at Derry & Holly site.)
It is a 34' Snowberry house. It looks great ! I think it is the nicest stone.
Great choice !

Sarah,

Where is Symons Crossing? I can't find it on Mapquest. Did Mattamy tell you it is SS-5 because they sent us all over and told us none were finished yet.

Thanks for your help.

I think I know what house on Symons Crossing you are referring to! It was not one that Mattamy had sent us to but when we were driving around that area we noticed that it had the same brick and stone as the SS5 package...at the time the stucco just had a bright orange colour primer. We figured it would be done in a week or so and it sounds like it is now finished. Will definitely check it out!

Directions to this house are as follows:
- Derry Road to Holly (Holly is where the Symposium Cafe is located)
- go south on Holly
- make a right on to Yates
- make a right on to Symons Crossing
- drive to almost the end of the street
- the house in on the right hand side, Lot 111, 5th house from the end

Can't wait to see it tonight!
Diana

Yes that is the home !
We saw the bright orange stucco too & couldnt beleive our eyes.
It could have been a primer but I've never seen Mattamy use a primer even on the darker colours.
I think it was a huge mistake or a joke !
Nonetheless, it was corrected early last week & it is a beautiful exterior selection.
Also Mattamy is a little behind in their knowledge of the exteriors,
we found our brick on several homes that they didnt even know of.

Thanks Sarah for letting me know of that house with SS5. I drove by it today and it is even better than I thought. I was worried but am happy with our choice.

I have another question. We are thinking of getting the built in hood fan so it matches the cabinets. Does anyone know the price and if the fan is included or do you have to purchase prior and give them dimensions?

Thanks!
