Can anyone with Milton experience recommend a nice location or model that would be suitable for an older retired couple? (not me)

The rough criteria are:

Quiet street
Preferably on a side with no sidewalks
Pool-sized yard
Bungalow (not sure if anyone even sells those these days) or at least mostly on one level
Not near townhouses (only reason for that is parking/snow clearing tends to become an issue and they walk their dogs 5-6 times a day, if they don't have to climb over cars, townhouses are fine)

The closing date or phase isn't much of an issue so if anyone knows of some nice models or phases which might become available in the future, please post.

Thanks in advance! :)

Hi there!

The big question is budget -- There are a few Coscorp builds and Mattamy builds in the bungaloft style - not many though.
The pool-sized lot requirement would lean more to Coscorp and you're looking in the high 600k range and up.

Then you mentioned townhomes, and not many of these have a pool sized lot, but make me think they are looking for something smaller.

The majority of bungalofts are in Drury park, and mostly retired residents. Quiet streets ('private' condo roads) perfect for their age group, BUT the lots are tiny. More for enjoying a small garden and not having family pool parties.

Let us know a little more about what they are looking for and we can help nail it down for you, and send samples if you'd like!

Fred

Thanks for the info! :)

If you'd like me to get really specific, the wishlist is long LOL

New
Detached
Bungalow preferably
Within 10km of 407
3-4 bedrooms
2,000 sq ft
Pool size lot (the bigger, the better)
As little contact with neighbors as possible (this one is important lol)
No carpet preferably
Side-by-side parking for at least 2 cars

I would highly recommend that you connect with a successful Local Milton Real Estate Agent.

As the purchasing party your pockets don't get touched and you have someone to fight the fight for you.

They also can give you a breakdown of what you are looking for.

I know a great one - PM me if you would like the reference.

+1 Fred D. on this forum is the guy you want to talk to. He has many years of experience in Milton being a local guy himself.

Thanks RR!

Lovely: based on your response about needing space from neighbours, Drury Park is definitely NOT the place :) If you DO need any info or help, I'm here anytime - I won't pitch myself unless you mention you need somebody to help - that said, feel free to ask for info regardless!
