Hello,

So for those of us that are closing in September - coming week would be the week to watch :)

If no call or email then we should be clear of any delays ;)

Good luck to all of us closing in September .

Do not expect any closing delays for September closing as you were not the first to close. Only those who were July closings got delayed and that was also only a handful ones.

you would be surprised.. they work really fast.. my closing is in end of august and literally every weekend when I go to check up on the progress, they have completed a lot more than I expected them to do.. my townhouse is even started to be bricked now so they are moving fairly fast..

I have a friend that works at construction at Mattamy and supposedly they can bring up a home in 90 days. Pretty quick!

Regardless of the size of the house ? Hopefully quality over quantity when it comes to building houses.

For example as to when they start pouring the foundation to a complete product, for July closing they started pouring in April. It is about 3 months they complete everything.

I am certain about the quality, because most of the work is done by external sub contractors.

Can the builder push closing out further once they have confirmed closing as per agreement? And are they supposed to confirm closing 90 days prior or is it 120 days?

It is 90 days prior. The exact date is on your Tarion form.

They technically can push it out further. However it has to be either mutually agreed, or else Mattamy will have to pay a daily penalty rate.

That's what I was thinking too. Based on the progress it seems there will be more delays. They havent start framing our lot and its suppose to be due in 105 days.

Sooooo, just got official notification that my September 25th closing date has been delayed until October 30th.

This is lot 110 on Tough Gate in HVP3. I'm "guessing" this will be the case for all of the houses on the south side of Tough Gate.
