Which Phase are you in? And, was your house completed on your closing date or were there major items incomplete? Did they give you a timeline or are you chasing them everyday?

nah..
i do feel cheated by mattamy.. as they do not deliever what they are supposed to..
and workmanship is pretty poor quality.. i think they are just a bunch of greedy people on this planet

Strongly recommend people.. get your home build by kijiji labourers available by hourly cost.. they are better than mattamy

Keep in mind that you are covered for "workmanship". In other words, your builder must do work in a workmanlike manner.

But what if they try to cover up their mistakes rather than fixing it properly?

We officially (legal) closed on Thursday, and did our final walk thru and picked up our keys on Friday.

Closing was painless as the lawyer did all the leg work and all we got was a call saying "Congrats! The title has been registered under your name and the house is officially yours."

Our "closing"/picking up the keys from Mattamy was pretty painless too. We walked around the house and signed off for completed items reported in our PDI. In our case there were a bunch of PDI items that were still not addressed so we signed a contract saying we'll leave a key with Mattamy until they finish the outstanding items. Other than that, pretty straight forward process. Lots of paper signing...had them fix our collapsed ribbon and bow on the front door for Instagram selfies...and that was that.

We moved the next day (Saturday) along with 3 other neighbors lol
