Hi ssqmm, is this package based on a new service? I have bell service now so wondering if I can get the same package.

New service. I'm already a bell customer and this package is better than my current one. Putting it under my wife

I opted to cancel my current service and start a new one and got a deal for one year:
Fibe 25/10 with unlimited download
Fibe TV select with a couple multicultural channels, and 2months free movie channels
Phone line with a few callings features
$113 + tax per month for one year.

Hi funnyman82
Is this a contract deal for one year on all services or just Fibe Tv. I remember Bell wanted to do contract on Fibe TV and I couldn't cancel as the Internet was linked with Fibe TV.

They have it available for some of the houses but not all. Best is to call them up and find out regarding your home specifically.

No this is not a contract.. There are no such thing anymore. You are allowed to cancel at any time per CRTC

For those who have moved in already, is Rogers available?

We close March 30th. We called Rogers today and were advised that their service would be available in April 29th.

We have also called Cogeco, and their service is not available for HSV.

Sooo, is our only option Bell, until Rogers is set up in the hood? I pretty much boycot Bell (and Air Canada), but I'm feeling stuck for options. I can live without TV, but internet is needed upon move-in.

I always thought that as long as Cogeco held the rights to this area Rogers can't provide TV or internet.

I was under the same impression. I thought each town/city had either Cogeco or Rogers, but apparently not. Cogeco confirmed with me on the phone that they are not servicing the new neighbourhood, and Rogers said they are, but at a later date. I think we will just have to wait it out for Rogers.

Some of the houses in the neighborhood are already eligible for Rogers.

Ok good to know, thanks!

The April set-up is probably for phase 2 homes then. Glad to know that service exists in the neighbourhood already, so the April timeline is probably accurate in that case.

Rogers is actually in Milton now. Try searching your postal code in their website and it should be updated.
I saw Roger's box along with Bell's on the side of my house, and just then I got a call from Rogers...
It was a person name "Laurie", she said that all new owners can get a deal.
For internet she said it's free installation, free activation on a 2 year term. $20 off each month for the 1st year, and $5 off 2nd year
