Should local parks have larger play centers?

That last park looks pretty comparable to the one across from the Metro on Kennedy Circle. Our son's favourite.

I think that we could definitely use some more splash pads. 8) We use to live in a non Mattamy sub division and found that there were many splash pads within walking distance. Now it seems that they are few and far between. It's not the same when you have to load the wagon with kids, towels, snacks and drinks and begin a hike to the nearest splash pad.

That's just my 2 cents.

I'll say this much. Not sure if you've seen the park on Storey Drive. But apparently the town ran out of money and the families got hosed on our block park. It looks ghetto compared to the other ones. As far as I know we paid as much as everyone else so we shouldn't have gotten the shaft. How about a do over.

Does the town really pay for the equipment? I thought the developers do.

That was my impression too for new parks anyways. The town has to budget to refurbish or add new equipment at existing parks, of which there are a number in "Old Milton" in dire need of an update.
