Mattamy Patterson Farm Proposal: This is a Statutory Public Meeting, where staff present an overview of the application with no recommendation other than it will be circulated to the required Technical Agencies.

Members of the Public, that wish to, can make comments at this meeting on Mattamy's proposal, by registering as a delegation

The Technical Report will then be at a later date, likely in the early fall, for final approval.

Sharon

You mention the need to register as a delegate in order to speak at the Statutory Public Meeting - can you confirm that it is necessary to register or is it sufficient to be there and indicate your desire to speak?

Thanks

Martin

Statutory Public Meeting are the only time you do NOT have to register as a delegation. If you have a "presentation" you want circulated you can email it to the clerks office. :)

Just looked on your website Sharon and just want to confirm the dates:
Wednesday June 13 from 7-8 PM at the Mattamy Sales office is the information session, then Monday June 18th at town hall is the statutory public meeting?

Correct. And the statutory public meeting on Monday the 18th is part of the Administration and Planning meeting, which is in the council chambers and starts at 7.

To be clearer..
Mattamy's information meeting:
Wed. June 13th (not June 8th)
Mattamy Sales Office - Derry & Trudeau.
7-8:30

The Statutory Public Meeting re Mattamy's Proposal:
Monday June 18th
Town Hall
Administratin and Planning Meeting - starts at 7:00
:)

New Milton parking by-law allows for five-hour on-street parking & prohibits overnight parking btwn 2-6 AM

The Town of Milton is introducing a new parking by-law, effective Monday, May 27, 2013, that will extend on-street parking to five hours and prohibit overnight parking between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m.

The current by-law allows for a maximum of three hour-parking on all streets in Milton, unless otherwise posted.

Parking considerations will continue to be issued for exemptions to the parking by-law, for such instances as overnight guests and driveway repairs. Up to 18 considerations can be issued per plate per year, and can be obtained at http://www.milton.ca/en/live/parkingconsideration.asp at any time, or at 905-878-7252 ext. 2530 during business hours (Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).

Also new in May 2013, the Town’s parking enforcement officers will begin using real-time handheld units that allow them to view online parking considerations moments after they have been issued. This will avoid any unnecessary tickets to vehicles that have applied for a parking consideration online.

Does the new by law of not parking between 2am and 6am include areas where vehicles are permitted to park for 15 hours or are they exempt?

Good question. The answer is NO it does not include areas where 15 hr parking is permitted. ( Exception is during snow storms) If you want to know more about the process to allow 15 hr parking go to. http://m.milton.ca/en/live/extendedonstreetparking.asp

ICE STORM
Please continue to email me (sharon@sharonbarkley.ca) comments as to how the Region, Town and or Milton Hydro could have improved how the ice storm effects were handled. A joint Regional/Town/Hydro report will come to Council on Jan 20th.

TREE DAMAGE
I have suggested to staff that a utility on the Town's website (similar to street light outage) would facilitate the reporting of tree damage from the storm and any ongoing issues with trees. Will post when it is up.

Happy New Year!
Sharon
