Patrob your house is beautiful! I was wondering where you purchased the light in your foyer and upper floor? Thanks

Thank you :) The foyer lights were purchased actually from Home Depot 3.5 years ago & they were on clearance, so I got a really great deal $45 ea. :)
They are made by Eurofase except I removed all the crystal beads

Thanks everyone :P :D

Here is how we did our walls in the powder room:
We used 3/4" MDF, cut it to approx. 3" strips (space it evenly), added small moulding on top to finish it off, new 8" baseboards & paint :)

Hi Miltonleo,

Thank you for posting the photo of your Island I have looked it it like 9 hundred times I LOVE what you did with it. I'm wondering the dimensions of the space they left around the Island and the location of lights. They installed my kitchen and I'm not too happy with the placement of everything. Grrrr...
I'm going to call buttafly and see if she free for a visit this week, are up to company? Probably an afternoon visit if that's ok with you.

Hi justagirl, yes absolutely I would love to see you ladies! Wed or Thurs afternoon would work for me. I hear you about the placement, we spent a fair bit of time fiddling with that too.

If you want to move yours I'm pretty sure Mattamy would change it for you if you ask them nicely ... you definitely have a way with persuasion like for the ensuite. :-) They put our first island in a specific place we asked so that our sink would work for the future island, they moved our light fixtures for us after the fact (which involved patching the old holes), and they even switched a couple of cabinet locations for us ... in our experience they were so accommodating and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect for us.

If you want me to measure for you I can do that, but if you can make it over to measure for yourself if would be better since you can envision your own island and tweak & personalize the placement that way.

Thank you, I never thought of that Image

I guess I watched too much of HGTV along with all those H&H/StyleAtHome magazines 8)
