quartz upgrade from mattamy will cost me $5800. Searched around through a few companies and got a quote for 3000 +tax which include removal and disposal of old counter, new quartz counter with sink included and install. At pretty much half the price, its a no brainer for me.

Mattamy is charging about 4,000 for granite for my kitchen counter, which also includes an undermount sink. Does this price seem reasonable. It's about 50-60sq ft.

I took screen shots of my kitchen layout from the design book and from the floor plan then sent an email to a couple counter top companies. They can estimate based on standard cabinet lengths. Probably the best way is to just get a quote then you have a better idea if what mattamy is charging is too much or not.

Hi Everyone, We have our Design Center Appointment coming up fairly soon and we still haven't been able to decide if we should go with Mattamy for the counter-top or get it done after closing.
I've looked through the forum and there seem to be almost an equal number of arguments on both sides.
The premium quartz counter-tops for our model cost around $5800 from Mattamy.
I would really appreciate if you could share your thoughts.
Thanks in advance!

What did you decide to go with?

We are planning to get a premium Quartz by Caesarstone for our kitchen. Mattamy was charging $7,912 for our model (big kitchen) so we're doing it after close. We just started the process of getting quotes. I think I'm going to go with City Home Granite Depot in Etobicoke. My parents went with them and had a great experience. Just went in today to look at samples and they quoted me $4,000 with installation for the same Quartz. The guy was very knowledgable and friendly too! Now to start saving for the renovation fund..

Hi, Ditto for us! We ended up extending our kitchen so the countertop and backsplash were coming close to $8.5K, so we decided to get it done later. We've taken a few quotes and all are less than $5K for both.

I hired our previous contractor Maxspace stoneworks inc again and gave me a good deal with our kitchen perimeter, island with waterfalls, laundry and master ensuite vanity all for just 8,500. Caesarstone london grey and atlantic salt. I recommend it to my neighbor and she ordered a porcelain and got a good deal also.
