Me and hubby are thinking of upgrading the carpet in the bedrooms but we also wanted to rip out the carpet in the hallway and loft when we move in. So we were thinking of upgrading in the bedrooms and going with the included in the hallway. Does anybody know if Mattamy would allow this? I know the answer is probably NO but it's doesn't hurt to ask.
Thanks :D

I made the mistake of upgrading the carpet with Mattamy. Went with a level 2 berber in the bedrooms. It's nice, but I bought the same carpet for a basement in a house we were listing at less than half the cost installed. In retrospect, I should have taken the basic carpet and worried about changing it after. Do it after unless the cost of convenience is reasonable for you.

To answer your question though, I believe Mattamy will make you upgrade your carpet through the entire area since it would be hard to lay and match two different types of carpet.

this is probably different but i upgraded by underpadding for the carpet on 2nd floor. sooo happy i did it. very soft on my feet and great for when my son falls or loses balance. plus lying on it and sitting doesn't hurt our rears.

We were thinking of upgrading the underpadding. LOL! that is a very good point. Have to take a look at cost.
