I will post a picture once the boxes are unpacked, but before that I would like to thank Robert and Patricia for an absolutely amazing job on our hardwood install. The floors are absolutely stunning and the workmanship is second to none. Everyone has complimented our hardwood floors and the install, which speaks volumes.

Thanks again for all of your help and hard work. I am truly impressed and will post pictures to show everyone else your phenomenal work.

Really a good choice of floor and nice work. What kind of hardwood is it?

Thanks,

I can answer that question for you :) It's Vintage 5" Gotham Solid Sawn Hand Scraped.

If you would like a quote, let me know

If you can send me your e-mail address I can send you some colour sample pics which I think will go very well with Sambuca colour.

What's the minimum OSB subfloor thickness required prior to laying down hardwood? 5/8 or 3/4?

By the "book" it's 3/4" but I don't see any point of upgrading to thicker than 5/8".

There are no negatives in having natural maple floors and stairs as long as that's what you like and are OK with having it for many years to come. If you are thinking of selling the house in the near future then it's best to choose a colour that will appeal to potential buyers.

Hope this helps :)

I looove natural maple but do you find it shows scratches, etc. more readily then oak due to the lack of grain?
