Thank you so much for the advice Greenjp! So I guess in your opinion you would recommend going with Sears rather than Goeman's? Are you pleased with the after-sales experience like customer service, warranty, repairs, etc.? The more and more research I do about appliance shopping, the less optimistic and more overwhelmed I become since every store seems to have discouraging reviews. Many stores have good reviews and experiences before sales or during sales, but during or after delivery things seem to take a turn for the worse for many stores I've been looking into.

We had what we thought was an oven problem but turns out there was nothing wrong. There was no problem having Sears send someone out to check.

Stick with name brands, you can't really price match Kenmore. If you buy all the same brand, 3 or 4, you may ask for a deal. If Sears has stuff on sale check the makers website (.ca) they may have incentives too. Right now Kitchenaid has $500.00 off on highter end stuff like a dishwasher @ list $1800.00 that would make it $1300.00 and Sears has them on sale now at $300.00 off. Now if you can catch one of those "No Tax" days it's awesome.

Remember, all the same brand look better in your kitchen and really how many times in your life are you buying appliances, don't cheap out. We bought a cook top that's induction, you have the same heat control as gas with no residual heat.

When it comes to a fridge look at counter depth models, they will stick out 2" passed your counter not 10" like most 21 to 25 c/f ones and no they are not cheap.
