You can put a table there but it has to be a small table. maybe 40-42 inch to be comfortable. you have to remember there is the sliding door there. you will need room to go outside. In our dining room area we put a 42" round table fits perfect.

hello guys,
I was reading here and there that the fence could take up to 2 years till the land lot be graded then can be done.
Does that happen with any of you guys in previous Mattamy Hawthorn areas?

I think that sounds right. You might not even have grass for the first year depending on when your closing is.

We are in Phase 3 north and the super said we will be getting grass soon. Now having said that this does not mean you can put a fence. In case they need to do any final grading. It takes up to 2 years until the city signs off on the grading.

Trees will be planted by the city. You and I paid for it in our closing costs. I would contact Mattamy or the city as to when it is safe to plant trees.

wrong! Mattamy will have the trees planted on the city property and not yours. You are free to do any tree planting on your lot. However, you should wait until the grading is done.

Curious - As a Renfrew owner we were picking between the Sherkston and the Renfrew (both were the exact same price when we were purchasing), we ended up picking the Renfrew due to layouts, despite the slightly extra square footage.

What are some of the reasons all of you picked the Renfrew?

We liked the layout... and when we moved in we felt that it was the right fit for our needs. Not too big and not too small it was just right.
