The design center upgrade package lists the Raised Breakfast Bar upgrade at $822

I think its worth it, as when entering the house, the first thing you'll see is the kitchen sink if the breakfast bar were flush. I'm not sure how your woodlily is setup.

One just sold on my street.. the asking price was 350 and it was only up for a week or so.. I imagine they probably got the full price or pretty close to it..

However, it's all relative.

I was worried I paid too much for my Hillsview End last November but with these prices, I'm a happy camper. Sure the market will cool off later in the year but with some of the upgrades I plan to do after closing, I should recoup all my investment. Sweet :D

I bought a hillsview end but, don't close till Dec 2011.

I was wondering if you can fit a king sized bed in the master?

Ya it's possible. Toughest part would be getting it up the stairs.
I was considering getting one, but decided to stick with a queen. (obviously I'm not married yet)

The matress delivery guys has a tough time fitting the queen sized boxspring up the stairs... getting a king sized mattress will be very difficult

Most king size box springs are two pieces so the only challenge is with the mattress itself. With that said, we have one of those super deep pillow top King mattresses and they were still able to get it in without too much difficulty.

Approx 400 sq' of carpet on main floor (of course add 10% for estimate).

I am looking to change out the main floor carpetting with hardwood, and am wondering if anyone knows how much square footage of flooring I am looking at?

We close in July, and cannot really measure ourselves at this point.

Thanks!

Emil

Hi Emil

I got 3 quotes for my hardwood. All 3 came in at approx. 480 sf. but that includes doing the upstairs hallway and all waste. What a difference getting hardwood on my upstairs hallway, it opened up the space real nice. If you are only looking to do the livingroom and dining room, 400 sf sounds right.

Hey guys, we just bought a Hillsview last Sunday and are already going crazy with upgrades and architect choices. I was wondering if anyone went with the raised breakfast bar, and if there are any pics available. I would love to see how the raised bar looks like since we have until Thursday to decide whether or not we want that option.

Thanks!

Here are some pics of one with the raised breakfast bar where we installed hardwood in after closing

Hope this helps :)
