Hi everyone, Starting this thread to talk about layout/upgrade choices for the Springvale model. I think this is a new layout from Mattamy... I can't seem to find existing comparables. But, I could be wrong! Anyone else purchase the Springvale? Or has anyone seen comparable layouts? San & Jov

Bought the springvale a few weeks ago. Looking forward to the design centre. Have you gone yet? |

Amanda16404 wrote: Bought the springvale a few weeks ago. Looking forward to the design centre. Have you gone yet? Hi Amanda16404! Yes, we had our appointment sometime last month I believe. Way earlier than I thought it would be considering we close in October. It was quite the process. I recommend going at least a couple times to the Design Centre before your appointment. There are tons of options but a lot of the things you may want to consider doing after closing (i.e. granite/quartz countertops, backsplash, potlights, etc.); they are super expensive to do through the builder. Have you gotten your booklet yet? One thing I didn't expect for our model was the price of replacing the kneewall upstairs with rail and pickets... $1602! But we did it anyways... |

To any of you Springvale owners who are dying to see what the model will look like in real life, you can always swing by Phase 3 on Gainer Crescent (Block 262 or 263) to check it out. They are just starting to lay the brick so it's pretty far along! I can't wait to move into ours now! |

Though I am not a Springvale owner, we have the Normandale which is being built in the opposite corner of Gainer. Hearing your update excites me, as we are only a couple of days behind the lot you speak of. Thank you! |

Hi leonarky My husband and I also purchased a normandale. We do not close until October and our footings have just been put in. If you have any pictures of your home could you post them? It would be great to see the actual house instead of trying to visualize it from the floor plan! Thanks! |

Maybe we should start a Normandale page. I cannot add pictures at the moment as I am at work, but I will soon. |

Has anyone set-up their TV above the fireplace? We did, but now we're having a tough time figuring out what to do with all the components. The space next to the fireplace (under the window) is pretty small so I'm having a hard enough time finding a media stand/cabinet to fit there but has anyone else come up with a creative solution for storing all their media components? Here's an old pic with a super bulky stand... Anyone have any suggestions or pics they're willing to share? Btw... we opted for the plasma-ready wall so all the wiring comes out of the wall on the right side of the fireplace so we are stuck keeping everything on that side.
