For those who purchased a dorchester and currently live in it. What changes do you wish you made to your unit? Any extra plugs or changes that you wish you thought of before?

Thanks

I had the laundry moved to the 1st floor and I love it. It gave me extra cabinetry upstairs and utilized unused space on the first floor. I've seen the houses that have them on the third floor and I find them ugly out in the open in the hallway.

I also had a cat5 outlet put in on the main floor. Otherwise your modem and all your units will be in the garage.

I love my Dorchester, don't regret the purchase at all. I feel the layout is great and very open. I would, however, suggest getting a home inspector to come in before your 30 day warranty submission. Andy Shaw did mine and he found quite a bit to repair that I never would have known about.

That's great I was thinking about the cat 5 on the main floor prior to this too. I was also thinking to have 3 way light switches for the stairs so at night you don't have to run downstairs to turn off the stair ligting.

Great point I would only assume a new build would be built to code/ well with a new build. Thanks for the tips nikol40
