I would like to know if Mattamy install a standard white wire shelf above the washer & dryer (like the ones in the wardrobes/linen closets)

I don't think many (if any) builders do this standard as I think most buyers would prefer cabinets over the wire shelves.

You can easily do this afterwards yourself ... parts are available from Home Depot or Rona for 10 bucks or so. Maybe by the time you buy the brackets, screws and drywall anchors you'd be looking at about 20 bucks total.

Wow thats so tight, nice to have something to tide you over until you can get the cabinets.
