Off the top of my head I don't remember I would have to check the paperwork.

Not sure, I'm sure it voided the warranty on the shower but it's not much of a warranty anyway.

Hey Derek! The work you did in your bathroom looks really great! I think opening up the shower door makes the room look bigger. Do you know if removing that small wall affects the warranty on the house at all?

Thanks,

Jenn

Anyone with a Hillsview End TH, can you tell me what side your garage is located. Side with your neighbour or the other side, no neighbour. Thanks.

The garage is usually on the neighbor side. I know someone who has one and it is on the neighbor side.

I bought my Hillsview End 14E 2 weeks ago today. I'm very happy with the purchase but............I don't like having to give access to my backyard so my neighbours can bring their lawnmowers across my yard to cut their lawn. I wouldn't want them to take advantage of the opportunity. I have no problems for safety (fire) reasons. I'm not antisocial but I do like my privacy. Does anyone here have any issues with this? Will this be a problem one day when it comes time to sell your home?

It's in my Agreement of Purchase and Sale. The 2 neighbours to my left will have access to my yard through a gate. They can only use it in case of fire to their house or maintenance purposes, like taking their lawn mover from the garage to their backyard. I would think that everyone will build a small shed in their yard to store all their maintenance tools.

This may be a Milton requirement or the builder was too cheap to include a common public path. I could build a fence 3' from my property line so as to have all the privacy I want but why should I lose all that real estate. Hope my neighbours are as nice as I am.

Maybe some owners on this forum can share their experiences.

We are presently in a Mattamy Croftside, part of the original phase 4 (aprox 7 years).
It is my understanding that the back 3' feet of your property is not actually yours.
You have the option of building the fence not inc the 3' & a walk way will remain
or you can take advantage of the 3' but you have to build a gate for neighbours to access.
This is what we have done. We dont even use it that much.
We often carry our lawnmower & gardening tools through the house.
It's not that bad but something to expect with a townhome.
I think the city has the right to remove the fence if you don't allow access & also if your neighbours complain.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news !
Congrats on your new home :D

Was anyone able to delete the bulkhead in their kitchens? I was at the DC today and one of the girls mentioned that I may but will have to what till my appointment. Since that won't be for a good while, I'd like to know sooner. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure we asked and they said no.. I could be wrong though.
I can confirm, however, that the bulkhead is empty, there's nothing inside. So there's no reason they shouldn't be able to delete it.

In the paperwork somewhere it states that bulkheads cannot be deleted for townhouses. Not sure why as there is nothing in them.
