Thanks, the closet was the best money we spent... it helps keeps us so organized.

The outlet is great, just take your dimensions and a lady will draw it all up right there for you and price it out.

I think ours in total was about $500... much cheaper then pricing out a custom closet at home depot from the same company.

Only thing is they won't come and install in Milton, so you have to do it yourself.

We were gonna pick the Mocha colour, but then I think my Mom got us to change it. It's called Oyster, but damn does it ever look like your Mocha!

Which is what I thought I was getting...an off white. But, it was a pretty dark beige when I took those pics.

Thanks for posting the pics!

musicfreak, you're house is coming along very nicely!

Scott & Jaime, you guys have done an excellent job with your upgrades!, were the pot lights over the breakfast bar also done by you?

Congrats to everybody!

Thanks Andre,

We love our house, the floorplan on this unit is awesome i think.

We haven't done the potlights over the breakfast bar, although in the picture it kind of looks like it.

We upgraded to the capped electrical boxes with a switch, and are going to just switch it over to two potlights ourselves... that should be done in the next couple weeks...
Also did that in the art niche as well.

First on our to do list is to finish our hardwood! We ended up being 5 sq ft short and had to wait for another order to come in! Doh!

How is your place coming along?

capped lights eh?.. at first glance i thought they were pot lights, but they look great above the breakfast bar. what are capped lights?

Our place is coming along great, from what I saw on the weekend they made holes in the floors and walls, in order to start with the air ducts this week. Judging by how fast everybody else got up, I would say they are running on or ahead of schedule for our May 29th closing.

Oh man, you are just trying to make me show how little i know!!

I'm sorry for my ditzy response in advance...

A capped electrical light... well, it has the wiring for lights already, in a sort of aluminum/stainless steel box, so the wires are there with caps on them so they are safe...

I think if you were just going to hang a light fixture (like we were going to do originally) you could just uncap the wires and then hang the light....

But instead we're going to convert them (well, more like my dad and Scott are going to) to potlights, which i think involves more work, but at least all the wiring is already there.

We put this in our art niche as well in hopes that we would actually display something nice (yet to be found!) otherwise i can see it being a dumping ground for my purse and random things.

Thats good if you guys are running right on schedule!!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that its more finished then ours was when we got the keys!

i cant believe they make these kinds of mistakes... either paperwork isn't done properly at head office or some one there doesn't know how to read...unbelievable!

lol, I'm not surprised. Even though the list of upgrades IS posted on the balcony door.

I'm not taking anything for granted. Already we saw some cabinet shelves that were chipped, so we really have to take the time at our pdi and go through everything with a fine tooth comb. It's only fair if we are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars for a home, that everything is in showroom condition.

very true. Mattamy seems keen in over pricing the upgrades, it only makes sense that we get extremely picky on the quality of our homes at delivery.
