Hey guys, I'm reaching for the stars here, but does any commuting veteran have a recommendation for the most time-efficient and least PITA route to get from our town to Yonge St/Summerhill for 10am on a weekday?

Thx for any suggestions. It doesn't seem like the 407 helps significantly since it'll be gridlock heading back down south.

I commute in to Yonge Street/York Mills so more north then you need to go but I actually just use the 401 straight across. I have to be at work for 10 am and most times if I leave by 9:15 I am in by then. The later I leave the quicker the drive is. If there is an accident then I will hop on the 407 and get off past the accident onto 410/427/401/Yonge St.

I'm an idiot, I had meant Yonge/Davisville. I ended up doing 407 then down the 400 and down Avenue Road. Still took over an hour when I left at 8:15am.

Was it just the one time you needed to go?

If you were to make your way to The Allen, all the way down to Eglinton, you can then utilize the system of residential roads to snake your way across and avoid the Eglinton mess.

Old Forest Hill Rd is a good example of a road that runs right into your neck of the woods, complete with a dozen or so other side streets you can use to avoid any and all traffic.
