#1> I really don't like the stipple ceilings. Sucks if it's only a ground floor option

Pinky > LOL@cyn getting bored and twirling. sounds like me.

Diana> you are working this early?

hmmm@lots left. Wonder if #16 was one left. No one wants to live next door to us! Anyone know if they released the other end past our lot (18, 19, etc)

Okay, back to house obsessing.

Today`s question- to cold cellar or not to cold cellar.....

Hey guys,

It's Herb and Cameka - lot 36- Hickory Elevation B

For the past two days we've been zombies - just starting to feel alive again after this whole ordeal. I happy we did wait though because we got exactly what we wanted. But - I don't want to do that again.

It's good to see that we're already buliding a community so far out.

We're overwhelmed with the upgrades decision. Now we have much less to spend on upgrades because of the price hike. But we're sure to get the structural changes and leave the cosmetics for later.

The site is really beautiful. I think this is going to be the best street on the Vista. We're so happy that we bought at this time.

We too knocked on a door after we purchased and got to see the house. I loved it on the plan now we love it even more - the stairs are wicked and it has a legde that goes right across.
Anyways got to run.

Congratulations to everyone.

I'm so happy for you guys. I tried to convince Herb to go home and leave his phone number so that if someone backed out I would call him, but he was comitted to waiting it out with the rest of us! At one point on Saturday morning I almost passed out and had to take a seat for 15mins. I guess 3hrs sleep for 2 days will do that to ya. All I know is that I feel it was worth it for all of us, and the neighbourhood will be a good one.

if you're running larger appliances or equipment that draws more current (electricity) ie to heat up your swimming pool, 15 man hot tub, flood lights for the soccor field/basketball court/tennis court

Hi neighbours!

It's Jason and Tammy ... the couple that had all the kids with us!! :) We're Lot 8, Green Brier ... haven't decided on the elevation yet. We picked elevation B, but I really want a porch!!!! Apparently, we have 5 days to decide on it.

Wow, it looks like Coombs Crt is going to be alot of fun ... community pool, tennis courts, naked Thursdays (must have been a long night!!) ... count Jason & I in!

Sal - Jason will be very happy to hear there's another mountain biker on the street!

Just wondering, will anyone else have kids going to Escarpment Public School??? Our daughter will be in Gr.2 there, and our oldest son in JK.

Tammy

that's awsome! we're right beside each other (lot 9). let him know i'll build a trail from our backyards (before the next builder comes in ... so it's nice and muddy) into the the woodlot, up Tremaine, thru someone's backyard, into Kelso and in and out of Hilton Falls! can't wait! lol

I emailed Stephanie Flynn from the Milton Building Dept. This is what she had to say about the current situation with the sidewalk:

Hello, please see response from the Town's Engineering Dept.

This is in Mattamy's Civiero subdivision.
Please note that the drawings are still preliminary, (not approved) and subject to change.

However, the sidewalk is currently proposed on the outside of the crescent to allow for pedestrian access to the trails in the woodlot.

Feel free to pass this on the homeowner.
They can contact Andrew Mason (ext. 2515) for more questions on the subdivision design (he's not in today).

The negative side to this is it will cut any Wood Lily driveway in half due to the layout :( (our house)
The positive side, there are trails in the woodlot!!!!!!!!!

For 800 sq ft @ 1500, is only $1.87/sq ft. Might you have installed laminate instead? Under 2 bucks for hardwood is an excellent deal! (I'd be interested in knowing where!)

FYI, we installed hardwood in our current home ourselves. For two rooms (800-1000 sq ft) the hardwood was $1500, and was pretty easy to install.

Cyn here.

Just for the record, I don't twirl on the Tennis court when I get bored. I do it when I am playing volleyball!

Also, I always get my way, Kevin. I am a princess after all!!

And Finally, just do the kitchen upgrades Kev and get it over with.

I miss everyone from our party this weekend. I had a fantastic time!
I can't wait to see you all when we move in or before!??? We could meet for dinner or drinks somewhere once we know more about what we are doing! Just a thought! It would be fun to talk about it.

Any way, keep the info coming. Right now I am interested in pot lights in the kitchen and great room, Kitchen upgrade, dining room upgrade, cupboards upgrade, backsplash and granite countertops. The funny thing is that I had once said no upgrades as I just wanted the house...I lied!

We might have to have monthly or quarterly get togethers somewhere in Milton somewhere...

For sure we need to get together regularly over the next year and then some.
There are waaaaaaaaaaaaay too many upgrades. These design centre appointments are going to hurt!

I wanted to keep the upgrades down...but it is difficult. I'm still torn on the 9' ceilings. The 200amp service seems beneficial in the long run.

Hey Neighbours,

It's Johnny & Jen from lot 12, Oops I mean lot 11. We spent the night thinking we were getting lot 12 so we could put our Wood Lily however in the morning the person with lot 11 decided to put the only home allowed on lot 11 "The Walnut" onto lot 12. Luckily Mattamy looked into it and let us put our model on lot 11 if we signed something saying we could not put a gas fireplace on the side of the house. I think they just felt sorry for us. So here we are.....

Now we stalk Wood Lily's. Does anyone have an up grade price list for Wood Lily's? Is it true that if you get 9' Ceiling up grades that you have to pay to raise each door way?

Looking forward to the block parties!!!!!
