Hi everyone,

Sunny & Geeta here (I think my username already gave that away :)),
Lot 19 - Green Brier Elev. B

I bumped into Herb and Cameka  this past monday at Milton Trails (I was performing some 'Residential Espionage' )
And he recommended that Geeta and I go check out the model homes in Cambridge (take pictures) to get an idea of what type of cosmetic upgrades you would like

I believe someone had already posted, but the 9' ceilings on the 2nd floor is pretty sweet. We stuck with 8' because we couldn't justify the $$$ for it.

And I was concerned about the whole ordeal about higher AC/Heating bills. I think Dean was there at the Mattamy office during the crazy weekend and we talked about it real quickly.

Anyways, case in point, if you have time, definitely check out the model homes, it really opens your mind to new and exciting things :!:

~ Sunny & Geeta

p.s. - I am liking the Football Field idea for our backyards! Nothing like tossing the old pigskin and accidentally crashing through someone's patio door into the Breakfast area while diving for the ball! :D

Welcome to the neighbourhood and congrats on the purchase. Send a PM message to Amabelle with your email address and she'll send you an evite for the get together... :P

Welcome to the newcomers!
I have sent out all the evites to those that sent me their email addresses. Right now we have 17 people confirmed (14 adults, 3children) and a couple maybes. So I called Portabello's to make a reservation for 20. The guy sounded pretty stressed to have 20 people on a Saturday night (5:30pm). He said since he is going to be away, he's going to get someone else to call me tomorrow. I hope that they can accomodate us!
He did say that if we were coming earlier, it would be easier. If we needed to change it to 5pm would that be a problem for anyone?

As it stands now, we have it set for this Saturday at 5:30pm at Portabello's. The reservation is under "Mr. Dressup".
I'll update things here and on the evite if anything needs to change.

An earlier time works for us as well. Alex has hockey at 9pm in Burlington so meeting up at 4 or 5 probably works even better for us:)

Great. Thanks for replying to those that did. I hope it still works for everyone, but I've gone ahead and changed the time to 4:30pm on Saturday. This will really help the restaurant accomodate us and hopefully it works for everyone else.
See you all, Saturday!

I think we're going to need those name tags! There's going to be a big group of us. And to answer Oliver's question on the evite, the line up starts on Thursday. First person in line gets to choose their seat and meal. No two people beside each other can have the same meal although you can choose a different variation on a meal.

Hey neighbours! :D

Last night was definitely fun! It was really great to catch up with everyone. Hope to run into you all again soon whether it's at the design centre, the sales office or our lot! LOL

Oh, and keep the tips coming :)

Keeping young ,

I was talking to Angelo and Sal and I am gonna add a 'Tips' portion to my first post after the site layouts, etc. Please post up some tips regarding what to look for, location of cabinet makers design centre, etc... basically any info you guys want. I'll be placing the Intracorp proposed site plan their to start...and anything else I can think of.

For our phase, cabinets are from Frendel - that's what we were told during our orientation last weekend... :)
