Well, I like both of your answers. 16 and 18 are okay by me :) Sorry, GNAD.
I guess we'll wait and see. I didn't realize that they took the markers down. We still have to drive by now that the road is done.

As someone who currently has a green box and a cable box, i'm relieved to get only a fire hydrant next house :)

Small discount on house insurance but more importantly, people can't park right in front of the house. I see that as a bonus :)

Devious,

that is a bonus!

will the sidewalks also be placed on the side of the road that has the fire hydrants?

I would imagine that the sidewalks will be on the outer ring because of the trail along the wooded lot.

Happy new year everyone! May 2010 be the best year ever and most expensive too :)

So Alex and I have a question for you guys (need your opinion). Currently we have a white kitchen and are thinking of making a pretty big change and going to the espresso cabinets. However looking at some photos posted, we're now debating whether or not the Espresso just looks too dark and may make the kitchen appear smaller too. The other options would be doing something lighter like the bordeaux or even the chocolate (which I think is a tad lighter). What are everyone's thoughts? Does anyone have dark kitchen cabinets right now and does it make the room feel smaller? Has anyone seen a bordeax frendel kitchen (I know its more of a traditional colour that has lost some popularity over the years). Thank you for your help!

Looking forward to another get together in the new year!

I'm to in the more comtemporary look. So I would go with the espresso kitchen. The white kitchen would be to country-feel for me. You can offset the dark colours with lighter walls, tiles or backsplash. I would go with the espresso stuff.

We passed by the lot tonight when we were in the area, The fire hydrant is on either lot 17 or 18.

BTW - Happy New Years Coomb'ers... :P

Dilex> I LOVE the espresso kitchen and I don't think it will make the room smaller as your kitchen is large to begin with. It might make a difference if you had a really small kitchen but otherwise, I think it's beautiful. Espresso is definitely at the top of my list right now.

We drove by the lot today and the diggers were out doing the grading. It seems to be happening fast! Very exciting!

In counting out the stakes, it looks like the hydrant is in front of #16. But that's our best guess. GNAD, I really doubt it will be in front of your house. Looks like 16 or 17 (ours) to me. We also based out the counting on the grading since I know the premium for the sloped lot started at #16 and the hydrant is right in front of where the grading starts. I guess we'll know for sure soon enough.

Time is going toooo fast. We have so much to do.
For those of you who currently own your house, when are you putting it up for sale?

We where thinking early fall. We actually don't close until next Jan 2011. I'm thinking we must be one of if not the last house built on the street. I could be wrong though. There has to be a break after a certain number of houses when being built for fire safety reasons.

I like the espresso colour as well but the wife wants lighter.

Those signs look temporary, so I think our street's name will be as stated in our purchase agreements, Coombes Crescent.
Great pictures #1, keep'em comin'!

Where we live now (and I haven't checked in the last year, we have signs that say Wilmott Cr and others that say Willmott Cr I don't think they are too sure which one to go with :)

On the Milton website they have a mapping software and its Coombs Court on there, also the Milton transit map also has the street name as Coombs Court but still means nothing until the road is official.
