Coombs Crt it is, then!
My agreement says Coombes Crescent on the front page and Coombs Crt on the map, but whatever Canada Post shows should be the right name.

I noticed the same thing, #1 when I was at the lot.
I remember having conflicting street names - my purchase agreement says Crescent, the map says court. Mattamy told me to believe the purchase agreement.
I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Way back when, we talked about making the next Coombsies get together for February.
Anyone have any brilliant ideas? Some suggested dates? Saturday or Sunday evenings work best for us except for the first weekend in February (kid's birthday and superbowl). So I'll suggest Saturday, February 20th or Sunday, Feb. 21st. Location TBD.

Some suggestions for a location:
Ned Devine's (just up the street from Mattamy office - on Derry)
Shoeless Joe's (Thompson/Main St.) - great place and if anyone is taking kids, I can get kids eat free coupons

Any other ideas?

hi everyone,

Thanks for the feedback on the kitchen cabinet colours...spent 5 hours at the Design Centre yesterday and it looks like we have our kitchen pretty much picked out (finally) :) Still debating whether its worth upgrading the Espresso cabinets to the Classic line...will see what advice Tiffany has to offer us there.

Its exciting that our street is coming together. Alex and I did a drive around the circle a few weeks ago...well we drove around it 5+ times and it felt pretty cool!

Amy - We would love to get together with everyone. Either of those dates and places work for us!

Dean: Thanks so much for posting all the photos!

No problems about the pictures. Anytime we see something new, we take pictures of it.

THe 20th of February works for us as well.

Pretty sure its standard. It wasn't an option on our C, it just came that way.

I think you guys bought the A, you should check out this A on Nunn that is for sale. At 649K I think they've lost their mind, but who knows.

Hey All,

PS Does anyone know if the Wild Rose double doors to the Den are with glass already or do you have to upgrade to that? I keep seeing them in all the houses for sale with glass but they could have upgraded that. Anyone know for sure? Thanks!!

Ha ha I think they may have lost their mind too but who knows. I went to the open house today to check it out actually since it's a hop, skip and jump away. :D

Okay, it looks like February 20th works for most people so the 20th it is! I'm looking forward to it!

Okay, as for location, let's take a vote:

Ned Devine's - Irish pub and hopefully if I make the reservations early enough, we can get the semi-private room in the back

Shoeless Joe's - good food, fun atmosphere

Or any other suggestions?

Wow. The Spicebush on Gooch Cres is a 50' lot house, 5 bedroom 3700 sq ft and was listed for $610. That house is way overpriced...but you never know...

Which WR? The one on Nunn?

http://www.andreavsharp.com/search/feat ... m=W1748648

I am pretty sure this one never sold, and she just took it off the market -- potentially to live in, or to re-list in the spring.

It does have a backing onto the ravine, while the A for 649K doesn't (although I'm pretty sure it has an extra long backyard.. lots 90-93 have between 101 and 121 ft backyards on Nunn).

Or the spicebush is under priced and just wants to sell quick!! : )

I have seen the Wild Rose C priced for 670 and sold already I think. Or was it B? I think it was B.

not sure how much spicebush was back then, the problem is - Mattamy don't build them anymore, all 50' lots are gone :(

I try to archive as much as I can..

http://www.ialex.net/misc/house/50_foot_price_list.pdf

This is probably the rate you would have paid from early 2008 to June 2009 (before they increased due to HST and development charges)

How much was the spicebush to buy from Mattamy? I would have thought 600 back when we bought....It is really nice!!!

Are's was $560 due to the HST. The prices are pretty crazy for the resale homes.

Right now they are only selling townhomes. That just means they don't have any lots unsold in the areas they have announced. They may even change models etc, but all that is pure speculation.

I was told they were done making 50' lot houses. There maybe some 36-43's in the next phase. I think there next phase is at the entrance along Tremaine.

Thats why we ended up buying in Milton. We almost bought 3 houses in Mississauga, with less land and smaller homes for roughly the same price we bought the one in Milton for. Its just more value for the dollar.

I really hope it comes with the house. Thanks for letting me know about the C.

So you went through the open house? I wanted to go through but I had my two kids and my husband didn't want to. I drove by on Sunday. It didn't look like there was much action though? Did you like their house? It looks nice from the photo's I saw. Dark wood floors I thought looked nice. How was the upstairs? Was there there 9 foot ceilings upstairs? Were the room sizes nice? Any info that you can remember would be appreciated....I doubt I will be able to walk through it before it sells...

Thanks for any info!!

Hi- Yes I went to the open house and I wasn't too impressed to be honest. They only did about 5 or 6 upgrades and I knew that ahead of time as I had walked through during the building process. Their main upgrades were the hardwood floors, quartz countertops, backsplash, 5 bedrooms and they stained the railings and pickets and maybe one other thing but I think that was it. They did not upgrade the underpad or add in any extra cable in the bedrooms and to be honest even though they put in the hardwood I wouldn't be too impressed as they could have put in the lowest quality ones that mattamy offers but they put it in because they know it is a return on their investment and people will be impressed because it's hardwood regardless of quality. If I were to buy it and make it my home there would be SO many things that I would need to do to make it more comfortable and i'm sorry but for that price while the house is move in ready it is very very basic I guess it is for that reason that I don't think it is worth the money but the layout is okay. The bedroom sizes were good and I actually got confused/partially lost upstairs and couldn't figure out how to get back downstairs but I was tired lol. The lot is deeoer than the average lot but even so the premium wasn't more than 10K for sure. Anyway all of the above is ust my two cents
