I realize people have had issues getting hold of some of the current councillors. Just wanted to let you know, for current Ward 1 residents if you want to get hold of Brian Penman, don't bother with e-mail. He's had issues with the e-mail on the town website never getting forwarded to him - something I hadn't realized. The best way is to call him direct. He lists his home phone number on the town website for contact. My husband called him today regarding some work we want to do on our house and getting access to our back yard via opening up a section of chain link fence that's town property (not enough space down the side of the house). After several calls to several town departments and getting a run-around since there's nothing in the by-laws really covering this he got frustrated and called Brian for some assistance. Brian's wife took the message and Brian called back later that afternoon and is going to try and get a better answer for him tomorrow.

No, I don't think so. We've contacted Brian in non-election years and he's always been very good.
