Actually, no it wouldn't, since we're talking specifically about the people getting picked up by spouses, friends, etc.
The walkers crossing to their wrongly parked cars was the secondary discussion.
The point was that the kiss-n-ride folks should NOT be waiting on the street in front of the No Stopping signs since they are a traffic hazard, NOR should they be waiting in the Superstore lot since it is Superstore's lot, no GO's.

So what's the problem? The Kiss'n'ride area provided by GO is too small, and bottlenecks with other parking lot exits into one lane, causing people to have to wait 5, 10, 15 min to get out of the lot at the worst of times. First time I ever used the kiss'n'ride, my wife picked me up, being a rookie she used the proper section, and we didn't get out and south on Thompson until the next train arrived - that was before Drew Ctr opened, and before the underpass was built, but that hasn't totally resolved. I would never, EVER stop on Drew Center, but I understand what is driving people to do it.
I always honked at these people when I drove by - to show where I stood on the safety issue. hehe

Perhaps the town and GO should be the ones discussing inadequate GO Kiss'n'Ride areas, causing danger to citizens??

As a client of the superstore I find it annoying when you can't find parking because its full of GO train user.
Granted those people may also be shoppers at the Superstore some time during the week.
But those people wouldn't have to worry about cars coming if they parked in the right spot.
I agree the Superstore needs to start enforcing it.

At the end of the day the Supercentre's lot is their lot, Its their right to enforce the customer only parking or allow or disallow kiss-n-ride in their lot.

Kiss-n-ride isn't so much of an issue as these would be transient vehicles. But i do think that the Superstore needs to start ticketing/towing the vehicles that park in that lot all day long. Or charge them for the parking. After all its private property, the Superstore they can do as they please.

Are you referring to person breaking the rules or the person that started this thread?

In the end, Milton isn`t an anarchist`s paradise. There are rules and bylaws, etc. that all folks should follow. It is what being a good neighbour and having a community perspective not a `solely me` perspective is all about.

Me-first Milton? Sorry to tell you this but it's a me-first world out there. Get used to it.

You're right, but who's job is it to enforce the No Stopping signs on Drew Ctr, the street between the tracks and the superstore? That's the main issue here - and NOBODY is enforcing it.

It would be the by-law officer enforcing the stopping when your not suppose to.
People should not be upset if the Superstore starting ticketing people.

Two wrongs don't make a right. They are both wrong.
