Hey GNAD & Amabelle, do you know what the age range for enrollment is? I thought it was 3 and older? But I could be wrong, that was just hearsay.

We have our names in a few places for daycare. So far we really like peek a boo escarpment, but of course it is not Montessori. I'm not sure if there is montessori for as young as 1 year in Milton. Anyone know?

I haven't been by the site in a few days  Anyone getting their finishes yet on the north side?

2 months to go for us! yipee!

They will take kids starting at 18 months old.

A&A and #1: http://www.buildingblockschool.com/index.html Building Blocks is Montessori and they take infants up to 5 years old.
I've heard some good things from parents about it and it's just on Bronte St. (next to La Rose). But I don't have any professional or direct information on it so I'm cautious in my recommendation :)

Went by the site today. Our tile is installed on the main floor and all the washrooms. However, they screwed up on our main and 3rd washroom on the upper floor and swapped the floor tiles in those two rooms. We spoke to Andrew and Shane and they told us they'd fix it, but to confirm with the Design Centre. So we went over there and confirmed they screwed up, so our DC called Andrew to tell them they screwed up.

Hopefully it gets fixed, but they had screwed up our garden door, which opens the wrong way. They had told me it would be fixed on September 21...but still hasn't been fixed. My confidence in Mattamy is waining somewhat...

Question, how did you know all these details for example the way the door swings etc??? Is this listed somewhere within the agreement or Design Centre documents? Just curious. Or is it indicated on the floor plan?

Well hopefully they correct those mistakes and that all is made well. Good luck buddy!

About 50 days to go for us. We started packing up the upstairs last night...lots of fun, especially with a baby who wants to play all the time :)
The people who bought our house are living in a hotel right now with a toddler...asked us if we could move up the closing date. Don't think that will work!
We went by the site last Thursday at about 6:30pm. Security was nice but refused to open up the house for us. We had a friend with us who really wanted to see the house. Finally he unlocked it for us...was surprised he did, especially considering that we had Michael in his car seat. Its nice to see the dry wall up. Can't wait to see the tiles. So far no major screw ups for us, well except for the basement window being in wrong place (under the patio door)...they had to cement it up and relocate it.
Have a lovely rainy day everyone!

Who did you guys use for Movers? We just sold our house so I'm trying to decide what to do for the move. Should I use a mover or get those PODS?
We have to store our stuff for month.

Get the pods if you have to store your stuff, then they will drop it off in front of your place and you can unload on your time or get movers...

Also check out U-Need storage in Milton. Google it. They are pretty good and I think they might offer something similar to Pods but much cheaper - and their storage is really well priced. We used them to declutter and have our stuff there off of Steeles.

So, I was checking out garage door openers and found this:

http://www.sommer-usa.com/

German made and super quiet. I'll be looking into it for sure. I think most people have rooms above their garage so its important to have a quiet door opener. Especially if you have babies/children.

I may start a group buy, just curious to see if anyone is interested. Not sure on pricing yet, but at Home Depot in the States, it sells for $228 US.

Life time warranty to boot
