30 units so far...

Okay guys, I spoke to my contact. Thats the best discount I can get right now. He says if our order goes above 50 he'd be able to do something. He said he would be able to give a 15% discount on the keypads as his margin is very small on the accessories. Single door people please let me know if you want the 550 or 800 Synoris. I'm assuming all the double door people will stay with the Synoris 550. I will start collecting money at the beginning of Novemeber.

If we're getting 30 units and the guy doesnt want to give a bigger discount, maybe we should contact the supplier. They may send us a skid for cheaper than a retail discount.

We are in a single door garage, and I would prefer the 800 model that will support more weight, I dont want that motor to seiz up on up.

As for installation, I've done a couple already, first one took me 4 hours, next one took me 2, not that difficult, but you definitely need some help doing it if your a rookie.

Good choice. Personally I would go with the 800 if your a single door house. I've installed openers previously as well. This opener is suppose to be easier to install than a normal GDO.

I've updated the list if you've requested a keypad. I'm gonna start collecting the money the second week of November just an fyi. I'm gonna pay the contact a visit sometime this week and try and work a larger discount.

Hey Dean, can you please add a key pad for us, too and upgrade the opener to 800. Thank you!

For collecting payment, I suggest we could all send you the money via Email Money Transfer. I've used it before, it's instant and it only costs $1.50.

or we can mail a cheque with our username in the envelope. It might be a hassle to match interac payments with usernames. As soon as we get final amounts, let us know and ill mail you a cheque weeks in advance.

you can open your garage door from the front with no keys or entry remotes. Good for you if you're out front and dont have either, or if you have parents coming over and you arent home to see them in. Give them the code to the garage door and the door to the house and they're in.

Yesterday we were reading the forum. Almost missed a deal! Please,2 - 550 units for us and 1 keypad - Lot 27. Dean, you are doing such a great job to collect so many interested parties! I’m surprised that they didn’t give a free keypad. Almost all garage door openers come with 2 remotes + a keypad. They aimed just for 10 orders and you are getting so many for them. I was reading the Sommer's Website.
It seems a good garage door opener but our only concern is the
dealer in Toronto or USA. In case something is wrong
with the product can I trust them with a lifetime warranty,
considering the misleading info on their website about 550 - equals 3/4
instead of 1/2 HP which is important for a one double garage door. I
think it's pretty serious that the info on their website is incorrect
which somehow JEOPARDIZES Sommer's reputation. I wonder if we could use this for a good keypad discount? Just an idea. Do they have fees for a shipment or it's free?
Some other notes to take into an account:
Warranty:
According to their website we have to fill the warranty form online within 14 days after the purchase.
They charge restocking fee of 20% on all returned items.
Thanks and please add us to the list, hopefully it's not late.
