We are looking for someone to install hardwood floors on our entire main floor (except the kitchen). Who have you used? We are looking for someone who does good work at a reasonable price and guarantees their work. Have heard too many horror stories of floors buckling.

Look up Patrob on this site, they install hardwood, alot of villagers have used them and have positive feedback. If I was hiring someone, I would hire Patrob.

They advertise (correctly) they specialize in staircases

Taxes and prices are all optional (its like Pacific Mall, get the quote then make them your counter offer)

Build quality is excellent and there are no extra hidden fees

I recommend Dino from DSD flooring!! Amazing price and quality of work. He just completed our floors and it looks amazing.

He even shaved off some floor board to avoid putting in a reducer - it looks great!!!

Call him at 416-453-6088. BTW I found a lot of contractors are really bad at returning calls, some from this forum as well. I had a good experience with Dino in that regard.

I wouldn't recommend Milton Hardwood Flooring. We bought the hardwood and the installation through them. The guy came in at 4 pm instead of the agreed 9:30 am because of the Soccer World Cup and Italy was playing. Then he rushed through the whole installation staying waaay too late, didn't stagger the floor properly, the floor is buckling at certain places and the planks are cupping. Two planks actually cracked during installation but he didn't want to fix it. We had such a hassle until the store manager (or owner) finally came by, manually cut out the cracked pieces and inserted a new one. We got nothing, not even an "We're sorry". We can be one of those odd situations this had happened to but if you can find someone else who had no issues and everybody is happy, go with them.
