Hi Everyone,

Is there a new years eve gala anywhere in Milton that includes a dinner and a dance?

Just rather stay local then heading out of town.

Hi Greenr,

I believe the Grand Chalet on Steeles ave. is having a dinner/dance for New Years. I have been only a couple of times here but have to say that each time it was great.

There is the ringing of the bell at midnight at the park by Town Hall, a tradition since 1967. No dinner and dance though. Usually there is hot chocolate and a short speech by the Mayor

Any tips on finding something fun and classy this New Year's Eve? Was thinking for people in their early to mid 30's - not necessarily dressing up but dressed nicely with music and dinner............

TIA

Hi abridgel

We are in our early 30'S and is going to do the Gala at the Grand Chalet. Tickets are $125 each. Menu looks good. The tables are groups of 10 but if you don't have 10 ppl they just fill you in. Great way to meet people :) I asked about the music and they said top hits to the oldies.

There is also a New Years Eve Gala dinner and Casino night at Mohawk Inn and Conference Center (titled 007 Casino Night).
The dinner is $65/person or they also offer $199.00/couple for dinner + accommodation.
There is dinner, dancing + casino, and a prize auction at 12:30 PM.
The menu is:

Selection of Breads
Choice of House Greens or Caesar Salad
Surf and Turf…Beef Tenderloin and Lobster tail served with seasonal vegetables and roasted potatoes
Dessert… a mousse cake, styled to go with the evening’s theme!
Late night passed hors d’oeuvres approx. 11:30pm
Champagne toast at midnight

Reservations can be made at 905-854-2277

Sounds like an excellent evening. I know several people who are going to this one.
