We visited Halifax Donair last night and hadn't been in quite sometime. I think praise should be given when deserved and last night they went out of their way to make my son his own meal because he couldn't chose something off their menu. They were so friendly and on top of that the pizza they made our son was out of this world and very fairly priced!!!! He is such a picky eater and has already asked to go back.

We will be back again....probably tomorrow :D

Yeah the Big guy and his wife are great! Ive had there explosion sub many times..allways fresh and they 're allways happy to see you. There was a thread on Troys Diner recent ..that whole building is home to some of the best places in downtown. Troys for breakfast..Donair for dinner..we bought lights for our dining room from there and the auto detail shop best Ive had.

Small town charm still in the big city that has a 'Target' now :)

Jimmy, is always ready to create any dish he can if it isn't on the menu. The quality and service is awsome. The halifax "Big Newf" pizza is out of this world. If you have people over the one pizza with a couple of donairs on the side is the best. Thanks Jimmy for all your great customer service.

The only part I dislike about this place is it isn't close enough to my home. Actually, its is probably better this way, I would be fatter than I currently am. Anyone know what that donair sauce is made of?

2/3 cup canned milk (evaporated is best) not low fat, or it won't set properly
2/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup white vinegar
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Makes 8 servings

I'm not sure which Greek decided to use canned milk instead of sour cream or yogurt and add sugar to most awesome tzatziki but I guess it worked.

Best restaurant/food place in Milton at any price point. Only downside (besides health factors of course) is that my gf won't come near me for at least 12 hours after I eat a donair. Totally worth it though! Like hawthorny said, I'm actually glad it isn't closer to me, and that it's closed on Sundays! Mmmm donair sub...

Took several big newf donairs into work one night for supper, and was hounded to do it again since.
I just did it again on Monday, and again my crew loved it!
I also have people at work asking me if I can pick them up those pizzas so they can take them home to their families.

A+ for the service as well.
